My husband and I had our house on the market to sell for about two years.  We had moved out of the house and it was empty at the time.  We held several open houses and lots of people came to see the house and we had a couple of nibbles, but nothing ever happened to get the house sold. 

We contacted our friend, Janie Allardt, and explained our situation to her to see if she had any ideas or suggestions that could help us get our house sold.  Janie suggested staging, which is something we had never really heard about.  Janie came to the house and made some wonderful suggestions.  We repainted some of the rooms and took down some wallpaper.  With Janie’s help, we brought in some pieces of furniture and placed in some of the rooms to give people an idea how the house looked with furniture.  After the staging was completed, an open house was held and the house was sold within two weeks!  Even though we thought we had the house in “ready to sell” condition, it’s helpful to get another perspective and Janie was the answer.  She came in and immediately made simple suggestions that added color and style to the house that we didn’t see or think of.  Janie has a wonderful eye for style and design and it made a huge difference for us!  It was fun, easy, and worth the time effort.  We owe it all to Janie!
