The Room Redesign process with ellie jane design studio begins with a 2 hour consultation. During this time, Janie will meet with the Homeowner and review in detail the room or rooms that the Homeowner wants to redesign. After the consultation, Janie will devise a step-by-step written plan on how the redesign may be achieved. This plan will include recommendations regarding rearrangement of furniture, moving furniture from one room to another, new paint colors, addiiton of wall art, lighting plus many other possible suggestions.
In addiition, at the Homeowner's request, Janie will continue the Room Redesign process beyond the consultation. Following the step-by-step plan devised for the Homeowner, ellie jane design studio will rearrange the Homeowner's current furniture, purchase necessary new furniture and accessories for the redesign, replace wall art and so on. Of course, all of these changes will be accomplished by staying within the Homeowner's pre-determined budget.

BEFORE: Outdated kitchen cabinets, bulkhead and wall paper, left this homeowner ready for a kitchen remodel.
AFTER: With the removal of the old... and the addition of new kitchen cabinets, backsplash, granite counter tops and pendant lights...the Homeowner is now ready to "live" in their kitchen as they cook, bake and entertain at the same time!
Before: No real floorplan and clutter did not make this room the ideal place for family gatherings.
After: WIth the addiion of a beautiful area rug, the rearranging of furniture and some lovely accessories, this room became the "apple of eveyone's eye"!

We had just moved into an older home that needed some updating. We painted, tiled and carpeted, but changed little else. I simply didn’t have the time or talent to “decorate”. I learned friends would be visiting and staying with us for several days. They would arrive in a couple of weeks and I was in a panic. We hadn’t done a thing to our bed room and it was a disaster. Janie came to the rescue with a total room makeover. I had no idea what to do with the master and guest bedrooms and baths. I was still using bedding that I brought from our previous home and it was not a good fit for this home. .Fortunately, Janie did have a vision for the room. Within days the room had been transformed with new bedding, area rugs, lighting, wall art, and accessories. She advised on a paint color for the master bath that toned down the outdated tile color. She located towels, rugs and used accessories and pictures we already had, and rearranged furniture to reinvent the room. She placed pictures in places I would never have considered, and it all looked fantastic. It was perfect and honestly, the cost marginal. It truly brought the outside in, which was perfect for our rural setting. Janie decorated to our setting, lifestyle, and personalities, keeping cost to a minimum. I could not have been more pleased.

I want to share some great news with you!
Last year my husband and I purchased a new home (new to us) after living in another home for over 20 years.
I was a little unsure about how it would be best decorated using my furniture and wall hangings without spending a fortune with an interior decorator. So, naturally I called Janie for some much needed advice. She was great!! She came over and looked at our new home, our furniture, accessories, etc. She was back in just a few days with paint samples, some lovely fabrics, and some fun accessories. She helped us pick our wall colors and provided a color palette for future use!! She helped me design our new home using our furnishings and just gave it a bright new feel.

I had lived in my home for over 10 years and decided it was time to make some changes in my great room, but truly did not know where to start.
In fact, saying I felt “overwhelmed” by just the thought of redoing a room would not be an exaggeration. A friend suggested that I give Janie Allardt a call and ask for her assistance.
Janie’s first visit included a walk through the entire home so she could get a better idea of our family’s living style. She also discussed my desires as far as color scheme and the “feel of the room” I was wanting. In addition, I had gave Janie strict guidelines as far as the budget was concerned as I had a child in college and needed to watch my dollars. She picked out wall color and asked us to let her know the minute the painting had been completed.After the walls were painted, Janie came out to the home while I was at work and spent the afternoon rearranging our furniture, replacing our coffee table and curtains and adding new accessories. She also purchased a beautiful rug, which really tied the room together. At the same time, she was able to incorporate some of our current furniture and wall hangings from other rooms that really helped us stay within our original budget.
To say the least, when I walked into my ‘new’ room I was not only thrilled with the results, but so surprised how a few changes could completely transform, not only the great room, but the feel of my entire home.
After seeing Janie’s work and listening to her other recommendations, I can honestly say that I am no longer overwhelmed with the idea of making changes in my home and now have confidence in trying different things……..I have actually begun to enjoy it!
